Taiwan tourist logo , original calligraphy by Hsu yung chin

Taiwan Tourist Logo

Hsu Yung Chin created the Taiwan Tourism Logo, ”TAIWAN”, with Chinese calligraphy ink and brush. The letters in the logo are pictures representing Taiwan’s landscape, tea culture, and its people’s hospitable spirit. The red Chinese characters, ”台灣”, mean “Taiwan” in Chinese and are written in the shape of Taiwan. This tourism logo can be seen on signs and storefronts all over Taiwan.

The T represents the beautiful Queen Head stone in Yehliu.
The A is a person welcoming visitors with open arms.
The I is someone admiring the Queen Head stone.
The W shows two friends shaking hands and drinking tea.
The A and the N show a mother, grandmother, and child.
